The Theorema4H team participated in the XLV Conference of the Spanish Health Economics Association (AES 2026), held in Seville from 17 to 19 June under the theme Data, evidence, decisions: generating value for healthcare management and policy.
During the conference, our CEO, Alexandra Ivanova, presented the short oral communication Interterritorial variability of official healthcare tariffs in Spain, a study analysing regional heterogeneity in the official tariffs of different healthcare resources. The results highlight the need to adapt economic evaluation models to each autonomous community and to support decision-making in the management of diseases according to resource use and costs. In addition, Almudena González, Health Economics & Market Access Lead, presented another short oral communication entitled Social and healthcare tariffs for older people in Spain: a regional analysis, focused on the comparative regional analysis of official prices for social services aimed at people over 65 years of age in Spain. The study shows territorial heterogeneity in public prices and in the economic contribution made by service users in social services. It concludes that, as the intensity of care increases, the average contribution made by service users also increases, while territorial variability in this contribution decreases. Furthermore, Theorema4H participated in the organisation of the Roche Farma Spain-sponsored session entitled The inclusion of social value in health technology assessment: from methodology to governance, which addressed the importance of incorporating the social value of medicines into health assessment processes, taking the Revalore Project as a reference. This conference highlighted that the future of healthcare systems will depend on combining high-quality data, rigorous evaluation, ethical governance, and technological innovation, while maintaining criteria of sustainability and equity.
